KMPT TV Segment

Modest Chic from Justin Fone on Vimeo.

Recently, television channel KMTP interviewed some of our friends for a wedding-related segment called Modern Chic. Nancy from Nancy Liu Chin Designs, asked if I would contribute some of the paper goods for the tablescapes.

I was so honored to be a part of this wildly talented team: Wildflower Linens, Gloria Wong, Enhanced Lighting, Justin Fone and Kevin Chin Photography.

Upcoming Photoshoot in Maui!

All image source: chewing the cud

Evonne of Events by Evonne and I became blogger friends a while back and when I finally met her in person a few months ago, she was just as darling as I had imagined. We hit it off and before long, we were hatching plans to work together.

Here's a sneak peek of table goods I've been designing for her photoshoot in Maui.
The menu above was for a table inspired by Mediterranean opulence and grandeur.

the quintessential Hawaiian beach table...

and of course, my favourite... the Balinese table. Some of the patterns were inspired by my personal collection of batik textiles.

Thanks Evonne, for including me in the whole shebang!

Mollydooker Wines

Lovely wine labels designed by Australian agency Mash for Mollydooker Wines. Inspiration came from antique books and advertising illustrations of old; all type was hand-drawn. Working with John Englehardt, Mash created their own illustrations based on the wine names. Nice!

Dutch artist Jorine Oosterhoff works mainly in ceramics and porcelain, creating these mischievous tableware with fun names like Three Mad Hatters (shown above), Creamy Bastard and Milky Major. In her words:

My products become characters, like individual things that seem to live their own life.
They have their own identity and personality.
Sometimes they seem to come from a fairytale-world.
Products making us feel like being in a different world.
